The surveys contain compilations of the physical and chemical properties of fuels marketed throughout the United States. The survey map shows the geographic boundaries of the regions sampled. Fuel supplier names have been removed to enable publication of these data.

The chemical and physical properties reported in this survey closely reflect the average quality of gasolines produced in each geographical area by United States refiners. The geographical marketing areas are shown on this map for motor gasolines.
